Log Cabin Decor
I’ve been scouring the internet looking for cool decorating ideas for our log home. Since decorating is one of my favorite ways to pass a few hours, I’ll be collecting and sharing these resources with you every week.
Likely one of the largest trends - and a great way to make a statement in your log cabin or house - are the antler items. Some are created with real antlers, while others are faux (made from injection molds of actual deer, elk or moose antlers).
You can find antler accessories in just about every element of your home today. From chandeliers to candy dishes. From kitchen cabinet handles to candle holders. Mirrors, picture frames, tables. Get a taste of what these will look like in your home by viewing rooms decorated in this style, through the links below.
Here is a list of a few different sites that carry antler accessories, and my own personal wish list:

You have spoken to Vana - my partner - regarding our website French Country Farm and as I was reading your site I see you are building a log home.
We have lived in a log home for 15 years and although we didn’t build it and would have made a few changes, we have loved it.
The most important thing to me has been light and ceiling height as it is darker and you can feel very closed in if the ceilings are low. Ours are very tall - 25′ and although it is a small home, it feels quite large and spacious.
Color is another trick. Because it is very neutral in color, I found that adding color - I used red and green - gave it the punch it needed.
I live in a mountain resort and most design is what I refer to as “mountain style” and while it is popular and interesting, I have done the opposite and have a French country look.
We stay warm and cool and have enjoyed the home so much. I would definitely do another one some day.
Enjoy yours, Jane Schaffner
Any idea where we can find fishing, bear, moose wallpaper?
Hi Kevin:
The listings change every day, but there are selections of cabin wallpaper here:

(use the search box and type in border, wallpaper, fishing, etc. for different results).
Also, some log cabin (walls) look papers can be found here:

Hope this helps!

I’m exploring your site, very impressed! Years ago we found a matching pair of antlers, in the back yard of our log home!!! 8 point buck antlers. I have a large, clear glass vase, and i have the antlers in the vase and they hang over the edge! I must send you pictures…….
