Who?

We are Eric Kleinoder, Laura Childs and Veronica Childs. Together – with the help of friends and family – we’ll be building a log cabin home on our 17 acre hobby farm in Ontario, Canada.

You’ll likely find photos of Richard Koster, Jason Hoover, Brian Wannamaker, Richard Musclow, Lindsay Childs, Deniz Sarac, Brian Peck, Brett Leathem, Benjamin Kyle, and hundreds more on the site. Friends, family and experts who have committed to lend a hand during the build. A special thanks to other professionals and friends page will be posted soon.

What?

The website is dedicated to log home living. And building. And planning. And decorating.

Why?

We launched this site because:

a) We suffered a complete house fire and need to rebuild. We decided on a log home, but found information on the internet to be lacking. Yes, there are a lot of websites on log homes, but none are inclusive (start to finish) or particularly user friendly.

b) Our friends – who will be assisting us through the build – come from far and wide. This site will keep them ‘in the know’ as well as alert them to appropriate times to ‘come home’ and lend a hand.

Move In Date: July 1August 1, 2008 expected – we’ll see how close we are to that date…
